Welcome to the Feldencast. This is episode six.
I feel like it's a good moment to ask you, dear listener, how's it going so far? Are there things that are working well? Are there things that aren't working so well? Do you need more information about anything? Is anything unclear? Are the lesson's too hard or too easy? How is this landing for you?
I figure if you're listening to episode six, you've probably listened to some of the previous episodes. You're probably not just starting here. And you're still here. You're still doing it.
Normally, I would say feel free to send me an email, but I'd actually like to ask you: please send me an email. I'd love to know who's listening and how it's going.
This lesson is a recapitulation or starting over, but starting again. In this first chunk of Alexander Yunai Lessons, the first reel of lessons, which will correspond to the first season of this podcast, I think it's safe to say there are challenging aspects to most of the lessons.
And sometimes, depending on our skill level or our experience level, it can be hard to feel successful during challenging lessons.I'm aware that feeling unsuccessful too many times in a row can lead to stopping.
So I put this lesson in here as another breathing lesson, like episode two. At this point in the season, hopefully there's benefit to revisiting certain themes we've already touched on.
There's a fine balance in Feldenkrais lessons, same in life, between adding new experiences that pique the attention, but also maintaining a sense of conservation. It’s like folding dough, so our same old bodies ourselves start to seem new, again.
So here's episode six, a breathing lesson, when the chest is shrinking.
