Hello, welcome to The Feldencast. This is episode 10, called Crossing the Legs. It's based on AY4, which was originally titled Sitting Indian Fashion. And, you know, I'm a white person who grew up in North America. And there used to be a lot of Native Americans here. Now there are still some. But we wiped out a lot of them.
And we also made the mistake of calling them Indians when we got here. But I think Feldenkrais probably meant Indian fashion like people from India. Anyway, that's what this lesson's about.
It's about figuring out some of the more obscure or subtle parts of what it's like to sit with your legs crossed. And in the introduction to the last episode, I made some dumb comments about hearing noises in the background. But I didn't record this one in my car. I actually just recorded it in my apartment. And so you're going to hear some more background noises in this one.
But I'm curious. If you wouldn't mind, it would be great if you could let me know with an email or something. I’m curious to know if if the sound or the quality of the sound in this lesson changes your experience at all. Because i also edited it a lot less than i have been editing other episodes so i'm just curious, Do those kinds of things make a difference to you as a podcast listener?
So yeah, if you're listening and you have an opinion one way or the other about either the presence of background noise in the recordings, or the general tone or atmosphere, when I do a lesson like this, it's not really edited. It's more raw. versus all the previous lessons, which have been, I've put quite a bit of time into editing. I'm trying to figure out going forward, like what's the best workflow and how that aligns with what's the best experience for listeners. So any feedback that you have would be great.
All right. Thanks for listening.
Hope you enjoy.
